The Masazyr Salt-Mining Plant, situated on the Absheron Peninsula and acting as the Azerbaijan Salt Manufacture Union, was put into operation in 2010. This plant gets its raw product in the Masazyr Lake and has the potential to cover all demands in iodized salt for the country and region.
